REBUILDING ON WOOLEN MILL SITE - Roy J. Alexander and his grandson, Alexander Kriss, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph G. Kriss of Vienna, Va., stand in front of the home he is building on the site of the mill. Most of the information and photos for the story were from two priceless volumes prepared by Alexander. The books include original letters and legal documents, with one dating to 1808, Ramsbury, England. His father, Henry, said he saw the last wild bear on Bear Creek in 1878.
